OIL AND GAS 4.0 EXISTING SOLUTIONS, PROSPECTS AND CHALLENGES
Yadigar N. Imamverdiyev

The article analyzes the problems arising during the transition of the oil and gas industry to the technologies of Industry 4.0. Oil and gas companies hope to use Industry 4.0 technology to maintain a competitive advantage in the face of deteriorating hydrocarbon mix, volatile and sharply deteriorating energy prices. Oil and gas companies have long used Industry 4.0 technologies, such as the Internet of Things, cloud computing, and artificial intelligence to optimize various processes. The advantage of Industry 4.0 is that it integrates existing technologies into one system and provides greater synergy. The concept of Oil and Gas 4.0, based on the approaches of Industry 4.0, has been on the agenda of oil and gas companies for the last 2 years. Oil and Gas 4.0 is still in its infancy and although it has received a lot of attention, there is still some confusion as how it can be used to add value to oil and gas operations. The aim of this work is to systematically analyze the processes of transition to Industry 4.0 technologies in the oil and gas industry and the problems that arise in this process. The main features of Industry 4.0 and the state of application of its basic technologies in the oil and gas industry are analyzed. The problems of the main components of the concept Oil and Gas 4.0 are analyzed and the corresponding recommendations are developed. The study uses the methods of systematization, generalization, comparative analysis and systems approach. The results are expected to be widely used in the development and implementation of a digital transformation strategy based on Industry 4.0 in the oil and gas industry (pp.32-42).
