THE USE OF SOCIAL NETWORKS IN EDUCATION: EXISTING APPROACHES AND SOLUTIONS

The article is dedicated to the analysis of international experience in the use of social networks in the learning environment. The increasing popularity of social networking sites and the rapid increase in the number of users make it necessary to study the role of social networks in the learning environment. Increased interest in social networks among young people raises the issue of using social networking sites for educational purposes. The existing approaches to the use of social networks in education were analysed, and the opportunities and perspectives of the use of social networks were described in the article. The model of using social networks for educational purposes has been analyzed. The current problems related to the use of social networks in the educational environment in Azerbaijan have been investigated and suggestions have been made to eliminate them. Future research will focus on the development of effective social network-based solutions for upgrading and developing existing e-learning platforms (рр.121-129).
